Greysteel's D.C. Team Supports SOME (So Others May Eat) and Attends their Annual Harvest Gala 2017

Enabled by the vision and leadership of Father John and his team, SOME serves the 8,350 men, women and children in D.C. without a home.

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation’s capital. They meet the immediate daily needs of the people they serve with food, clothing, and health care. They help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness. Each day, SOME is restoring hope and dignity one person at a time. They invite you to join us.

Each year SOME holds a Gala to celebrate their work, to present the SOME McKenna Humanitarian award and to support their programs. Proceeds from the Gala will benefit SOME’s programs, including their job training program, residential addiction treatment program and affordable housing with supportive services that provide the tools folks need to break the cycle of homelessness and live independent and meaningful lives.
